3° North was founded by Mike Mulroy (7s Referee) and Judy Atkins in 2024 to separate their specialist advice and consultancy services to sporting events and education as well as their ownership of and partnerships with Tournaments and Events across the Globe.

Many will have worked with or know of Mike through his ownership of 7s Referee, the world's only professional and private provider of match officials and sporting event specialists. Mike began developing officials and off-field specialists back in 2016. Since then he has been influential as a match official pulling on his boots in some of the greatest games on offer, building and directing an extensive team of officials in different sports, coaching, running tournaments, or building large tournaments and international fixtures.

Judy has been an educational specialist and school leader in the UK and International schools across two continents since 2020. Judy is not only experienced in school leadership and building school models, she is also developing the learning structure for the match officials at 7s Referee to create a growth mindset and an opportunity for every one of the officials to test and challenge themselves as well as focus on their development. Judy is also a key member of the Management & Organisation Teams for over a dozen large-scale sporting events in 2025 and will be part of the Tournament Team on the ground bringing her organisational skills to this complex sector.
